Celebrating its ninth year, this prestigious awards programme continues to recognise and honour the outstanding contributions that technology brings to all forms of learning and assessment. These awards recognise excellence in innovation and best practices in educational and workplace assessment allowing individuals and teams, practitioners and suppliers to showcase how they have used technology to improve the assessment process. Holding a unique position, this awards programme encompasses all sectors of education: from schools, through further and higher education to workplace training and professional exams.

Lifetime Contribution Award
The Lifetime Contribution Award is presented to an individual whose influence on the world of e-assessment has been both wide-reaching and deeply impactful. The 2025 Lifetime Contribution Award was presented posthumously to John O'Sullivan, founder first of X:OR in the early days of e-learning, and later e-Assessment company Coelrind.
A driving force behind innovative digital solutions that transformed how awarding organisations operate, John brought entrepreneurial energy to a wide range of impactful education projects from leading awarding bodies to international education partnerships, and collaborative procurement initiatives.
A familiar and valued voice within the eAA community, he was known for his insight, humour, and unwavering commitment. He engaged thoughtfully with colleagues across the sector and played a central role in shaping the future of digital assessment.
John's Business Partner, Kevin Kirk described John as "a pioneer - and buccaneer - of the e-Learning and e-Assessment sectors! An inveterate networker and one-of-a-kind character who rarely failed to make a lasting impression on those lucky enough to meet him."
John's legacy will continue to inspire and guide the assessment community for years to come.
