Bücker GmbH advises for German companies regarding the HCL Domino price increase in August 2025
Bücker GmbH, one of the most experienced HCL software partners in Germany, is actively supporting companies in their strategic preparation for the announced price adjustment of HCL Domino and other HCL software products, which will come into effect on August 18, 2025.What exactly does the HCL Domino price increase mean for companies?
The change affects all renewals of maintenance and subscription contracts - for example for HCL Domino, AppScan, BigFix, Volt MX, Leap, Unica and others. Depending on the license model, prices will increase by up to 9% for perpetual licenses with support and 6% for subscriptions and SaaS contracts upon renewal. If you act now, you can optimize your licensing situation economically and secure the previous conditions in good time.
When is it advisable to act particularly quickly?
Companies that currently need new licenses for additional users or systems - due to growth or structural changes, for example - should consider purchasing licenses before the deadline. Bücker GmbH also offers sound advice for a planned migration to HCL Domino or a completely new implementation and can often still offer attractive project conditions based on the current price structure. Especially for initial licenses and new implementations, early dialogue with an experienced partner is crucial - both for an economical start and for a clean technical implementation.
As a long-standing, certified HCL Software Gold Partner, Bücker GmbH supports companies in the analysis and optimization of existing HCL Domino licenses. This applies to classic license models as well as modern variants such as CCB (Complete Collaboration Business) and CCX (Express). The consulting takes into account technical usage, contract terms, savings potential and future IT strategies.
How can an HCL Domino license be economically optimized?
Bücker GmbH uses official HCL tools such as the Domino License Analysis Utility (DLAU) to check the license situation. This allows duplicate IDs, inactive users or technical accounts, among other things, to be identified and cleaned up on the license side. The aim is to streamline the license structure and align it economically - without compromising on functionality or security.
What happens if there are no more Domino administrators available in the company?
In addition to commercial consulting, Bücker GmbH also offers comprehensive technical support for HCL Domino and all other HCL products. The support team provides assistance with migration to HCL Domino v14.5, upgrades, integration into hybrid infrastructures and performance and security optimizations. On request, support is provided on an SLA basis by certified, technically highly qualified employees with a direct connection to the manufacturer.
An increasingly relevant factor in the support strategy of many companies is the generational change in the IT department. In many organizations, the previous Domino administration is about to retire, while younger IT teams often no longer have Domino-specific know-how. This is where Bücker GmbH offers a valuable alternative to the loss of internal know-how: professional external support with contractually guaranteed response times, predictable costs and decades of experience in the Domino environment. In many cases, technically sound SLA support from a specialized partner is more economical, more stable and more sustainable than trying to keep Domino know-how in-house on a permanent basis.
What influences the actual costs of HCL software in the company?
Bücker GmbH has received numerous international awards - including manufacturer awards - and is one of the leading HCL partners in German-speaking countries. With its combination of licensing expertise, technical depth and vendor integration, the company offers an ideal point of contact for all organizations that want to future-proof their use of HCL software.
The following applies: it is not the pure license price that determines the actual software costs, but the interplay between a suitable license strategy, an efficiently designed IT landscape and reliable support operations. If you combine these three factors wisely - as Bücker GmbH does with its customers - you can work economically, securely and predictably with HCL software, even with rising list prices.
