Microbrewery Tours go live

A Melbourne based tourism business has announced a Victorian first – guided day tours of Microbreweries (ex Melbourne) which include meeting brewers, tutored tastings of craft beers and lunch at a microbrewery restaurant.

Scruffy Bunch Tours is a small tourism company started by two young, industry experienced, wine and craft beer enthusiasts to promote day tours to smaller wineries and microbreweries in Victoria.

“Since our accreditation by Better Business Victoria in 2007 it’s been over a year of tasting beer and meeting brewers – we like to call it research and development – to get our Microbrewery Tours up and running” says co-owner Don Pople. “Sure it’s hard work tastings all the best beers in Victoria but it’s someone has to do it”.

‘”Our Microbrewery Tours allow us to support an industry which is still in its infancy here in Victoria” says Scruffy Guide Greg Cuthbert, “we are keen to provide a key link to both visitors to Victoria and locals who want to know more about how, where and who is brewing the craft beers they are now embracing so keenly”.

Scruffy Bunch Microbrewery Tours run every Saturday for the general public with private groups tours available seven days.
