IWS System GmbH on a strategic trip to the USA - aluminum easy move crane "THE LINE" attracts great interest

Reichenbach, June 04, 2025 - IWS System GmbH returns from a multi-week trip through the United States with valuable impressions, numerous business contacts and a clear vision for the future. The aim of the trip was to further expand the international positioning of the modular aluminum easy move crane "THE LINE" and to develop the North American market more intensively.

The trip took Managing Director Heiko Petzoldt across the east and south of the USA. First stop: Washington D.C., including a highly symbolic visit to the White House. "The moment was impressive," says Petzoldt. "It reminded us that visions can become reality if you pursue them consistently."

The journey continued to the traditional city of Bristol, on the border between Virginia and Tennessee. Here, talks were held with Tri-City Extrusion (TCE) - a potential strategic partner for future projects. There was great interest in "THE LINE" aluminum smooth-running crane: "The combination of ergonomics, flexibility and fast delivery is convincing - even in the demanding US market," says Petzoldt.

The highlight of the trip was a visit to ALUMINUM USA 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee - the most important platform for trade visitors to the aluminum industry in North America. Although IWS was not present as an exhibitor, it took the opportunity to network with industry representatives and gather new ideas for the further internationalization of the company. The reactions to projects already realized - for example the installation of an IWS crane system at PLACON in Lincoln - underlined the need for sophisticated smooth-running solutions.

The trip was rounded off with a visit to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. "This place is a symbol of enthusiasm for technology, innovation and the urge to push boundaries - values with which we at IWS identify 100%," explains Petzoldt.

In his luggage: a suitcase full of contacts, cooperation approaches and concrete opportunities. The cooperation with the US sales partner crane4you from Chicago is being taken to the next phase. The aim is to establish "THE LINE" throughout the American market. Sales in Germany will continue as usual via the digital platform www.krankaufen.de - where gantry cranes can be individually configured and enquired about directly.

"We started with a lot of ideas - and are coming back with real opportunities. Now is the time to turn these into concrete projects," says Petzoldt, summarizing the journey. "We would like to thank everyone who has accompanied us - and look forward to everything that lies ahead."
