Bigpond Email account setting and security issues

Bigpond is an email service provide by Telstra internet company to the Telstra user in Australia. If you are facing any issue related email settings problem or your BigPond account have security issue. Here you see how to fix it.

Bigpond Email Settings
Imap Settings should be for Incoming mail
• Imap.telstra.com
• Port :993
• Security: SSL

Outgoing settings
• Smtp.telstra.com
• Port 465 or 587
• Security: SSL
If your mail apps are keep rejecting server settings than reach Bigpond Customer Support Number.

How to fix Bigpond Security Issue
Being a Bigpond user, you have encounter server issues like phishing email, Bigpond account suspended or account compromised.
Here is a way how to fix.

Phishing Email: To stop phishing or spam email simply login to BigPond account and block sender email address or contact.
Account suspended: While login to BigPond account if it comes account suspended than simple call Bigpond customer care for solution and check bill is not pending.
Account Compromised: if your account compromised than change your BigPond password and use two factor authorization.

Bigpond Email Installation and updating issues

How to Install
1. Open mail app
2. Go to add account
3. Enter username and password
4. Click continues
5. Go to inbox to check email are coming

Eighter simply check your password is update after reset BigPond username password through web browser. If Still password does not work than use app generated password.
How to generate Bigpond App Password
1. Login BigPond account
2. Go to setting
3. Open account settings
4. Click generate app password (Tag like outlook)
5. Click Copy clipboard
6. Paste and update in mail like (outlook, Mac mail, Thunderbird, Mail washer etc
