Onsego Launches Cansego.ca to Better Serve Canadian Students Preparing for the CAEC
Toronto, ON - Onsego, a leading provider of online high school equivalency prep courses, has officially moved its Canadian CAEC preparatory program to a new platform: Cansego.ca [https://cansego.ca/]. The new site was created to better serve Canadian learners with content and support aligned to the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC), the new national high school equivalency test that replaced the GED in 2024.
Cansego is now the dedicated home of Onsego's Canadian program, offering a fully updated, self-paced online course designed specifically for the CAEC exam. Students across the country can access video lessons, quizzes, and practice tests tailored to the five CAEC subject areas: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
"This change allows us to better meet the needs of Canadian students," said a spokesperson for Onsego. "By moving the CAEC course to Cansego, we're offering a more focused experience with guidance specific to provincial testing requirements."
From GED to CAEC: A National Shift
For years, Onsego supported Canadian students preparing for the paper-based GED test. With the GED now discontinued in most provinces, Canada has introduced its own digital, Canadian-focused assessment-the CAEC. This new test was developed to reflect Canada's diverse cultures, updated curriculum, and technological standards.
In response, Onsego rebuilt its Canadian course from the ground up, ensuring full alignment with the CAEC's format and expectations. This transition marks a clear distinction between the two high school equivalency paths in North America:

Onsego - GED Prep for U.S.-based learners
Same Support, New Platform
While the name and platform have changed for Canadian users, the core approach remains the same. Cansego.ca features Onsego's proven learning strategies, intuitive platform, and flexible structure-helping busy adults study at their own pace and on their own schedule.
Students preparing for the GED in the United States will continue to use Onsego.com. Those in Canada preparing for the CAEC should now visit Cansego.ca for their course access.
