Anthony Baglino Launches Album Frecuencia, Fusing Bossa Nova and Experimental Jazz
Anthony Baglino, renowned jazz saxophonist, producer, and surrealist artist, returns with a bold new release titled Frecuencia -an electrifying fusion of vintage Bossa Nova rhythms and avant-garde experimental jazz. Frecuencia marks a striking evolution in Baglino's musical journey, following the acclaimed 2022 release Bossa by Night . While Bossa by Night was rooted in classic Bossa standards, Frecuencia explores the genre's boundaries, blending hypnotic grooves, electronic textures, and jazz improvisation. The result is a sonic experience that is both intimate and daring. The album includes eighteen original tracks, each showcasing Baglino's signature saxophone sound-smooth yet unpredictable. Highlights include "A Ceiling of Glass," "Road to Emmaus," and "The Heat of Winter," which drifts between nostalgia and innovation.
