Neokosmos Unveils New Single "Aeon ::: THX-2018" - A Winter Odyssey Through Sound and Vision
Montreal, Quebec - April 24, 2025 - Multidisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist Aeon (aka Emmanuel Pronovost) is thrilled to announce the release of his latest single through long time coming project Neokosmos . Titled "Aeon ::: THX-2018," the track is the sixth installment of his ambitious Full Moon series - an ongoing musical and visual journey releasing one single each full moon.
Driven by an uncompromising creative vision, Neokosmos is the vessel through which Aeon fuses his artistic disciplines into a singular, cosmic narrative. Founded in 2010, Neokosmos has evolved into a fully independent and intricately crafted project, meticulously developed over 15 years. It encompasses music, visual art, and immersive live performances, all powered by Aeon's relentless DIY spirit.
A Sonic Sanctuary
Written during a time of deep personal struggle, "Aeon ::: THX-2018" emerges as a sonic refuge - a cathartic piece grounded in emotional intensity and atmospheric depth. As with all Neokosmos solo electronic releases, the track is entirely produced, recorded, and mixed by Aeon in his Montreal-based studio. It showcases his signature sound: cinematic, melodic, and genre-defying.
Drawing from an eclectic range of influences - techno, IDM, ambient, industrial, trance, and synthwave - Aeon delivers a sound that is bold and otherworldly.
A Visual Epic Beneath the Full Moon
The release is accompanied by a breathtaking music video, filmed in the dead of the Quebec winter. Braving frigid temperatures and treacherous terrain, Aeon and his team transported towering, custom-built decor pieces - dubbed "pylons" and standing 11 feet tall-into the snow-covered wilderness using sleds. The video, directed by Aeon with the help of videographer Pascal Thibault, marks the first appearance of the Moon itself in the Full Moon series, further binding the visual narrative to the music's ethereal roots.
"THX-2018 was incredibly difficult to bring to life," said Aeon. "But it had to happen. The snow, the cold, the Moon - they were all part of the story. We needed to capture that sense of isolation, and of finding light in the middle of darkness."
More Than Music
While Neokosmos is first and foremost a music project, it stands apart through its multi-sensory ambition. The initiative includes two formats: a solo electronic performance with Aeon on keys and electronic percussion, and a full-band incarnation set to debut in 2025 or 2026, where Aeon will also sing and play guitar.
Beyond the music and videos, Neokosmos is designed for the stage. The project debuted its first work-in-progress live show in December 2023, featuring synchronized light and video programming, immersive staging, and custom-built decor. The next full-scale live performance is slated for Q3 2025 in Montreal, promising a richer, more polished rendition of Aeon's evolving vision.
The Full Moon Series: A Marathon of Creation
The Full Moon series is a monumental creative challenge. When it launched in late 2024, no videos were finished, and many weren't even filmed. Yet Aeon embraced the madness, committing to crafting a complete audiovisual piece each month, harnessing the energies of each full moon to bring his work to light.
Every aspect of Neokosmos is crafted in-house - from sound design and video editing to visual effects and stage concepts - supported by a close-knit team of collaborators. Each release is an extension of Aeon's relentless pursuit of total artistic integration.
