Hospice Nurse Launches Legacy Books to Help Families Share What Matters Most
LOS ANGELES, CA - After years of sitting at the bedside of the dying and watching families wrestle with all the things left unsaid, hospice nurse Shaleea Venney, PhD created something quietly revolutionary: a series of guided memory books that give individuals facing the end of life a way to say goodbye - and leave behind more than just memories.
Titled After We Say Goodbye, the book series includes six relationship-based editions: For kids, siblings, partners, best friends, parents, and adult children. Shaleea created these books because she wanted families to have something tangible to hold onto after they say goodbye, "This is their option to live on - in their own words, with their love, on their own terms," says Venney.
