Press release from: Kugler-Womako GmbH

/ PR Agency: Csion Communications
Nürtingen, March 13, 2008 – The machine manufacturer Kugler-Womako from Nürtingen, a company of the Körber PaperLink Group, presents its double wire forming machine ProLoop and the punching machine ProPunch at drupa 2008. Both machines show optimized handling processes and extended production possibilities.

The punching machine ProPunch can be used for different materials such as paper, board or plastic. Products including register cards, calendar sheets or loose leaf dividers can be punched quickly and efficiently. A new development is the non-stop stacker: Until now two operators were necessary to remove completed packs manually. Now, these packs are collected automatically and sent to a transport belt for further handling.

The double wire forming machine ProLoop produces double wire according to international quality standards. By reducing size bound parts compared to the former model HK 571, the size changes can be effected faster and more efficiently. The non stop spool change also minimizes manual labour. The machine drive has been redesigned completely. The patented solution enables faster production speeds. With pitch 3:1 and diameters up to 5/8” the machine can now achieve 3250 loops per minute. Due to a new C-forming technology, it is now possible to form loops up to a diameter of 1 ½”. The wire forming machine can be connected directly to other binding machines produced by Kugler-Womako or other manufacturers.

Visitors to drupa 2008 can see both machines work under actual production conditions at the Körber PaperLink stand (Hall 11, Stand B62/C62) three times a day.
