Five-axis photo technology enables new standards in digital product presentation

Neu-Isenburg, 15.04.2025 - The visualization service provider ScanMotion has successfully completed a major project of impressive scope: Over 3,800,000 high-resolution 360° product images were created for a leading wholesaler of truck spare parts - based on a specially developed 5-axis imaging system.

The aim of the project was to prepare thousands of spare parts visually so that they could be viewed from every angle in online retail - with maximum depth of detail and absolute consistency in the presentation.

120 images per product - from every angle

More than 31,000 spare parts were photographed in five axes on a specially developed rotating unit - 24 individual images per axis, i.e. 120 images per item. After automated cropping and post-processing, fully interactive product views were created with impressive precision.
