Periods shouldn't stop potential: supporting girls with free sanitary Pads

In a continued effort to promote health, dignity, and empowerment among young girls and women, the Julius Olufemi Abogunrin (JOA)Foundation (hereinafter known as JOA Foundation) is proud to announce its upcoming empowerment program scheduled for May 7, 2025. It is themed, "Pad-A-Teen". This important program is focused on raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and providing sanitary pads to teenage girls, with the overarching goal of keeping them in school and helping them thrive.

Across many communities, teenage girls are forced to miss school during their periods due to a lack of access to sanitary products. This not only affects their education, but also impacts their confidence and future prospects. Through Pad-A-Teen, the JOA Foundation aims to bridge this gap by delivering free sanitary pads and menstrual health education to schools and communities.

"Our teenage girls deserve the chance to grow, learn, and lead-without being held back by something as natural as menstrual flow," said a spokesperson for the Foundation. "With the Pad-A-Teen initiative, we're not just handing out pads, we're giving hope, dignity, and a future", said Christian, the COO of JOA Foundation.
