First, collect various scrapped products containing rare earth elements; Second, pre-treat the collected scrapped products, including disassembly, crushing, etc.; Third, separate and purify the products after pre-treatment, usually using metallurgical methods and extraction methods; Finally, recycle rare earth metals and rare earth oxides.

At present, the main sources of rare earth recycling are: fluorescent lamps, magnetic materials, batteries, etc., and the three account for more than 75% of the market.
