Fachschule für Technik Kassel e.V.: Shaping the future with further education and modern premises

For over seven decades, the Fachschule für Technik Kassel e.V. (FTK) has been a permanent fixture in the educational landscape of North Hesse. The former 'Evening School for Technology' was opened on May 9, 1950 under the direction of Dr. Friedrich Schwank and integrated into the Kassel Adult Education Center. In its founding year, 120 participants began their training as foremen and technicians, mainly for the mechanical and electrical engineering industries.

A modern training provider with tradition

Since its beginnings, the FTK has continued to develop and is now one of the leading providers of training and further education in the industry. In cooperation with the IHK Kassel and numerous industrial companies, the school offers a comprehensive program of master craftsman courses and specialist courses. The technical college is certified by Weiterbildung Hessen, which underlines the high quality of the training on offer.

Since 2017, the FTK has been located at Gobietstraße 13 in Kassel-Waldau, centrally located in the building of the IHK examination center. The eight classrooms are modernly equipped, air-conditioned and offer a learner-friendly atmosphere. Recreation rooms with tea kitchens allow participants to take pleasant breaks. The digitalization of the rooms ensures modern teaching and a high level of comfort.
