Asimov’s “Fantastic Voyage” inspires a show stopping VR medical animation

Scientific Animations leverages the power of Virtual Reality to take viewers on a “glass aquarium” like journey through the human body.

VR is all the rage after the facebook demo went viral. But is it truly better? Scientific Animations, a U.S. based medical animations studio, is launching an interactive, amusement park like journey inspired by Isaac Asimov’s “Fantastic Voyage.”

The immersive virtual experience allows viewers to fly through a beating heart, travel through the cerebral cortex, and float up the “glass aquarium” like abdominal vein.
