OWIKit Brings New Solar Powered RobotiKit™ Brand Products to the National AfterSchool Conference

Carson, Calif.—March 11, 2008 -- OWIKits Inc announced today that it will be exhibiting its RobotiKitsTM line of products at the National AfterSchool Conference on March 12-14, 2008 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Attendees are invited to visit the OWIKit Booth to see the educational OWI® Solar Robotic kits, Robotic Arm Edge and other creative robot kits including the award-winning OWIKit Junior Science Series.

Mini Solar RobotiKits
These kits are ideal to introduce everyone to the benefits of alternative energy sources. The kits are available in a series of different fun forms, including Frightened Grasshopper, Peppy Orangutan, Attacking Inchworm, Aerial Cable Car, Sonic F1 [racecar], Flapping Sea Gull, and a Valiant Viking Ship. Robotic Arm Edge
The Robotic Arm Edge is the newest version of the award winning Robotic Arm Trainer. Now users can command the gripper to open and close or rotate in a variety of base, elbow or wrist type directions. The Arm can lift and carry up to 100 grams of weight. Five gearboxes, joints and motors power this unique product. Also included is an innovative search light design on the gripper and a safety gear audible indicator is included on all five-gear boxes to prevent any potential injury or gear breakage during operation. For ages 10 and up The “Robotic Arm Edge” is for experimenters with Intermediate Experience and will be available at an SRP of $53.95.

Aluminum Bug Kits
The bug kits feature an assortment of cool bugs to be created including Samurai Scorpion, Mega Mantis, Angelic Butterfly and Rhino Beetle. The kits are designed for users to create fun bugs from up to 25 metal or bendable aluminum parts. Easy to read instructions are included with graphic illustrations for successful lit building. Also for users with Intermediate Experience they are intended for ages 10 and up. The new Aluminum Bug Kits will be available with an SRP of $11.95.

Different Kits for Different Levels of Experience
The Jr. Science Experience kits are for first time users with little or no experience and a great place to start your exploration of robots. The Beginner Experience kits require basic assembly using fine motor skills and household tools; the Intermediate Experience kits are recommended for ages 10 and up. The Soldering Series includes: Beginner Soldering - which provides a simple start on soldering parts of a PC board; and the Advanced Experience, which requires a more challenging soldering of circuit boards and mechanical assembly. Whichever kit is selected, it will easily demonstrate the principles of robotics in a fun, easy to understand method.
