What inspired you to write Doctor Lucifer?

The inspiration for Doctor Lucifer came from multiple sources. As a writer, I've always been captivated by the thrillers that shaped my literary journey-medical thrillers by Robin Cook and Tess Gerritsen, the gripping crime fiction of Michael Connelly, and Ian Fleming's iconic James Bond novels. These works sparked my imagination and fueled my passion for crafting stories that are both suspenseful and intellectually engaging.

Drawing from my own professional experiences in medicine, I aimed to create a novel that not only entertains but also offers readers an authentic glimpse into the realities of clinical practice. At the same time, I wanted to explore pressing modern issues, such as the ethical dilemmas of medicine and the vulnerabilities of our increasingly digital world. After years of brainstorming story ideas, I finally brought my vision to life with Doctor Lucifer in 2024-a medical thriller that combines my love for storytelling with my dedication to tackling thought-provoking issues affecting our world today.

My background in medicine has been instrumental in shaping my writing and the stories I tell. Having navigated the rigorous demands of medical school and a brief stint in residency, I gained firsthand insight into the challenges doctors face daily-insights many outside the field rarely see. These experiences inspired me to write medical thrillers that offer readers an authentic glimpse into the realities of clinical medicine while weaving compelling, suspenseful narratives.

During my time in healthcare, I witnessed the transformative shift from paper to electronic medical records. This evolution sparked a question that became the foundation of my debut novel: What happens when technology designed to save lives becomes a tool for harm? With cyberattacks on the rise and real-life ransomware incidents targeting hospitals, the idea of a hacker manipulating medical records to create chaos felt eerily plausible. I set out to explore this chilling premise in Doctor Lucifer, crafting a story that merges authentic medical scenarios with the urgent threat of modern cybersecurity risks.
