CHD Connects Hearts to Host National Campaign Supporting HeartWorks Co-Op Registry

Knoxville, Tenn. - April 1, 2025 - CHD Connects Hearts by Pace Yourself Online announced today it will host a national collaborative campaign aimed at increasing community participation in the HeartWorks Co-Op, a participant-led registry built to accelerate research and innovation in Congenital Heart Defects/Disease (CHD). The campaign will include three live virtual sessions (beginning mid-May through July 2025), each designed to allow time and space for CHD families and individuals to complete their Co-Op registration with live support from HeartWorks staff if requested. The sessions will also feature spotlights on mission-driven CHD organizations that join the effort as campaign partners.

"This is about empowering families to be part of the data, part of the research, and part of the change," said Christy Pace, founder of CHD Connects Hearts. "We're creating the space, providing the tools, and elevating the organizations already doing the work in the community."

The campaign's initial goal is to reach 1,000 Co-Op submissions by July 2025, with a long-term target of 40,000 by the end of 2026-a milestone considered the tipping point for scalable CHD research. With broader engagement, the Co-Op could reach 100,000 submissions, potentially transforming the research landscape and attracting clinical innovators and product developers to invest directly in CHD-focused care. Organizations such as Conquering CHD, Levi's Legacy, HLHS, HeartMoms Facebook Groups, WonHeart, Pac4, and many others have been invited to join as campaign partners.
