Sequoyah Epa Owhh Orange qualifing label

Sequoyah Epa Owhh Orange qualifing label

Sequoyah Paradise announced today that their Model E3400 gasification outdoor wood furnace has received the orange Epa qualifying label for outdoor wood furnaces.

The use of stoves with this label is very important to the enviroment. It represents a major reduction in the amount of emissions that are produced by the burning of wood for heat.

Many areas of the country have banned the use of these stoves because of complaints from neighbors. The particulates produced by the burning of wood in conventional systems has been shown to cause health problems for some people. When stoves are produced that can qualify for the orange tag it means that this problem is greatly reduced. Many areas that have previously banned these furnaces are now reconsidering their rules to allow furnaces that carry the orange tag.

The development of the E3400 outdoor wood furnace is a step above the competition in outdoor wood furnaces in that it encompasses long burn times (typically 24 hours or more) a large fill door, extra water storage, and no use of catalytic converters to burn up the smoke. It was designed to be operated just like the old designs, not needing any special training to run.

The lack of a catalytic converter like much of the competition means that it will stay burning clean forever, and not have a converter that needs regular replacement.
