PIFA Colaba Youngstar FC in the Finals of the Mumbai league

The Mahindra Football League Super Division final will be played between PIFA Colaba Youngstar FC and Central Railway.

PIFA Colaba Youngstar FC (PIFA CYFC) is a community project of the Premier India Football Academy & PIFA Foundation for the benefit of sports. The goal of this project is to help support and develop talented under privileged football players in the Colaba area of Mumbai.

The team was setup in 2006-2007season and finished second in the Mahindra Football League Senior division in the same year , They were promoted to the MFL Super Division for 2007-2008.

The team got off to bad start securing only one point from three matches. They lost to Sea View SC 0-1; Income Tax 1-4 and tied with Rizvi Mumbai Muslims 1-1 under Nelson.

The team training was taken over PIFA Director Nirvan Shah, an UEFA B licensed English FA coach. The team was turned around and remained unbeaten, since then. They beat - Mumbai Port Trust 8-0; Air India 2-0; Companeros SC 3-1 and drew with Central Railway (Mumbai Div) 3-3.

The team finished 3rd with 11points in the league format and qualified on being one of the 5 top teams for the Championship Super 5.

In the playoff, they beat Sea View SC 1-0 & Rizvi Mumbai Muslims 1-0 and drew with Income Tax 1-1. The team has 7 points from 3 games and has secured 2nd place.

They will face the league toppers Central Railway in their last & deciding match. Central Railway is the only unbeaten side in the league, they have played and won both their matches, so far.

The top team will be promoted to the MFL Elite division and a chance to play NFL.
The average age of the team is 19-20 years. Two young boys form the team Ajith Bhoir & Harshad Meher have been selected to play for India U-16. Also 3 other players played for Maharashtra U-19.
