Spring Hill Schools USD 230 has named Kristen Zuck as the new Director of Teaching and Learning, bringing over 20 years of experience in education, curriculum development, and instructional leadership to the role, succeeding Dr. Erin Smith, who will transition to Executive Director of Schools and Services.
SPRING HILL, Kan. - March 21, 2025 - Spring Hill Schools USD 230 is excited to announce Kristen Zuck as the new Director of Teaching and Learning, effective July 1, 2025. She will succeed Dr. Erin Smith, who is transitioning to the new role of Executive Director of Schools and Services.

Zuck has over 20 years of experience in education and a strong background in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and teacher support. She has been with Spring Hill Schools since 2022 as a Teaching and Learning Coordinator, working closely with educators to enhance instruction. Prior to that, she served as a curriculum coordinator, instructional coach, and science teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District.

Throughout her career, Zuck has played a key role in aligning curriculum with state standards, developing professional learning programs, and implementing strategies to improve student achievement. At Spring Hill Schools, she has led initiatives such as weighted grading, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and strategic planning for academic programs. Her leadership has helped shape instructional practices that foster student growth and teacher collaboration.
