LEDtronics Expands Industrial Control LED Offerings with New Metal Panel Indicator Series for Direct Incandescent Replacement

Continuing to expand its offerings of control panel LEDs for industrial controls and retrofit panel mount applications, LEDtronics® introduces its FL1M-8FW Series of direct incandescent-replacement LED Metal Panel Indicators.

The new flat-lens lamps with a mounting diameter of 8mm (0.315 inch) are offered in a choice of red and green LED colors, and voltages of 110 or 198~242 VAC. They are the ideal replacement for outdated incandescent bulbs in industrial controls and panels, panel mount retrofit applications, visual factory controls, control lighting, industrial vehicle indicators, transportation and automotive, and pilot light for machines and instruments, among many others.

With a power usage of less than 1 watt, they produce noticeably brighter, uniform light intensity while remaining energy-efficient, reducing energy consumption by up to 90% compared to traditional bulbs. In addition, they have a significantly longer lifespan of up to 100,000 hours, requiring minimal maintenance.

The FL1M series is available as 626~629nm Super Red or 526~531nm Aqua Green. Depending on the choice of color and voltage, they offer wide illumination of 25 or 50 degrees, with luminous Intensity of 7.0 mcd to 0.048 candelas, and current consumption of only 0.001 A or 0.002 amperes.

The lamps feature an 8.8mm (0.345 inch) low-profile polycarbonate lens in the corresponding LED color. They are built with UL-Recognized components, including a black PA66 Nylon and nickel-plated brass housing, a black O-ring of Buna-N rubber, an 18-8 stainless steel internal-tooth lock washer, a H59 nickel-plated brass nut, and a 185mm (7.3") PVC wire.

These units have terminals with a mounting diameter of 8mm (0.315 inch) and fit panel mounts with thicknesses of up to 8mm (0.315 inch) and as thin as 0.5mm (0.02 inch).

The IP65-rated enclosure provides resistance against strong jets of water and operates in a wide temperature range of -25°C to +80°C. These lightweight lamps weigh only 0.22 ounces.

Solid-state design makes LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. These durable lamps provide years of reliable performance with sustained color fidelity, energy efficiency, and almost no heat generation.
