Austin, TX - March 18, 2025 - Allies Against Slavery is proud to announce the release of its 2024 Impact Report, showcasing significant strides in the fight against human trafficking. This comprehensive report details the organization's innovative data solutions, strategic partnerships, and impactful programs that have transformed the anti-trafficking landscape.

"In the last year, Allies and our co-collaborators took significant steps toward changing the reality of human trafficking," said John Nehme, CEO of Allies. "United around a shared vision of using data to transform our fight against trafficking, we are at a turning point. We have the expertise and technology in place to create a future where data-driven solutions lead to better outcomes for survivors and communities at risk."

Key Highlights from the 2024 Impact Report:

*
Expansion of Lighthouse Screening: Recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Lighthouse Screening has been instrumental in identifying victims of trafficking across Texas and Louisiana. The platform now includes a new labor trafficking screening tool, enhancing its capabilities to protect vulnerable youth.

*
Innovative Data Solutions: Over 200 partners and more than 2,000 field professionals are utilizing Lighthouse to access and analyze critical data. This has empowered schools, clinics, law enforcement, and policymakers to make informed decisions and implement effective strategies.

*
Expansion to Florida: Partnered with the University of South Florida Trafficking in Persons Risk to Resilience Lab (TIP) [https://www.usf.edu/cbcs/criminology/tip-lab/] for the TIP Statewide Data Repository (TIPSTR). TIPSTR can assist law-enforcement human trafficking investigations, address gaps in victim services to provide essential resources, develop prevention programs, and provide a better understanding of the magnitude and trends in human trafficking across Florida and over time.

*
Research & Insights Program: Allies launched its Research & Insights program, publishing peer-reviewed articles and reports that provide evidence-based recommendations for combating trafficking. Notably, the program's research on female defendants in trafficking cases has shed light on the complex dynamics of victimization and prosecution.

*
Policy Advocacy: Allies' data-driven advocacy efforts have influenced legislative proposals and policy changes at both state and federal levels. The organization collaborates with governments and community organizations to create systemic change.

Added Nehme, "We are collaborating with other stakeholders to drive a sustained effort to build an ecosystem that brings together the best data sources with values-driven partnerships to give every community the resources to make victims visible and prevent human trafficking."
