Shockingly, Persons is murdered the very next day, and everyone, including the police, regards Stew as the main suspect. Poor Stew loses his job in light of these recent events. As luck would have it, he secures a new gig working for Edward Rivette, the Republican candidate running for governor of Connecticut. When Rivette also dies under unusual circumstances, it's up to Stew to indulge in some amateur sleuthing of his own and expose the real murderer. Will his 'investigations' pay off, or does a New York jail cell have his name on it?

In this imaginative tale, Howard Gimple captures the hard-edged colloquial style of a well-written mystery thriller.
