Survey Report on the State of Cybersecurity in India: Unveiled at CT Cyber Charcha, IIT Delhi

A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of findings from Channel Technologies' latest cybersecurity survey.
This survey was conducted as part of a broader initiative to assess cybersecurity trends, challenges, and investment priorities within mid-segment organizations. Insights were gathered from CISOs, CIOs, industry experts, and IT leaders using a quantitative and qualitative approach, incorporating survey questionnaires and expert interviews. The research covered key areas such as cyber risk management, technology adoption, regulatory compliance, and security investment priorities.
The findings highlight that mid-segment organizations are increasing security budgets, with a strong focus on cloud security, endpoint protection, and IAM. However, compliance with GDPR, DPDP Act, and industry regulations remains a challenge. Companies are also investing in AI-driven threat detection, Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), and Extended Detection & Response (XDR) though skill shortages and integration complexities hinder rapid adoption.
