GMNF GMS and Anton Williams Holding Company of Kalamazoo MI Launch Joint Trading Program

GMNF Global Mission Society is launching a new trading program as an investment to its portfolio as part of joint operations with Anton Williams Holding Company of Kalamazoo MI. The derivatives trading multi strategy operations will boost up its oil and gas production operations. The new trade program will include trading oil and gas derivatives for the purposes of speculative trades for profit. Companies typically use derivatives to hedge against price drops on market downturns for commodities or raw materials used to make products they sell. For an oil and gas company, this occurs when there is a target price range for oil and gas and the company wants to give an opportunity for profitability if the commodity markets pricing goes against the objectives. The company then places bets that if the price falls then profit would be made by "short selling" the derivatives.

The new program that the Anton Williams Holding Company and GMNF Global Mission Society are launching will include oil and gas derivative trading for speculation. This is a proprietary trade for the purpose of profit regardless of the direction that the market moves. The trading will help to bolster the profits in the companies by essentially netting the expenses and allowing the sales from oil and gas production to be profit for the company akin to a hedge fund that owns oil and gas facilities in order to run production and sell its product for profit. The holding company is also tied by the same owner to the GMNF Mission Society which is a social services organization focused on homeless, food insecurity, prison, education, health care and other functions.

Anton R Williams of Kalamazoo / Grand Rapids MI is the company owner and a 9th generation businessman. The initial real estate businesses were founded by his forebear, David Williams of England who migrated to the Louisiana and Mississippi region in the mid 1700s and acquired over 10,000 acres. Anton's lineage also includes Archie P. Williams who was a mixed race millionaire slave owner in the mid 1800s who got the family involved in oil and gas industry in the early 1900s. Anton Williams Holding Company of Kalamazoo MI and Anton Williams Ventures of Grand Rapids MI are continuations of the centuries old legacy timber, real estate, oil and gas businesses.
