DAN ROTHENBERG AND COLLEEN CRABTREE BRING THEIR HILARIOUS TRUE

HOLLYWOOD, CA (March 5, 2008) - Comedic actors and husband and wife Dan Rothenberg and Colleen Crabtree have paired up to star in their hilarious and touching autobiographical play, "Regretrosexual – The Love Story." Directed by Richard Kuhlman and produced by Racquel Lehrman, "Regretro" is now playing at the Hudson Guild Theater, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood. Show time is at 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, February 7 through April 12. Tickets are $20 and reservations can be made by calling (323) 960-7822.

In "Regretrosexual – The Love Story," angst ridden Dan (Dan Rothenberg) and slightly unstable Colleen (Colleen Crabtree) are a perfect match. They have revealed every crazy and embarrassing detail of themselves and it has only brought them closer. But, Dan has yet to make his biggest confession. In his 20’s he lived in San Francisco and in an attempt to fit in, went gay for two years. Tonight is their sixth month anniversary and it’s time to let the chips fall where they may. Will Dan be able to explain this to Colleen without losing her? Will Colleen be strong enough to accept his past? Or will this beautiful honeymoon end tonight?

Based on Rothenberg's highly acclaimed 2005 one-person show, "Regretrosexual," "Regretrosexual – The Love Story" continues with Dan's self-confessional personal saga. Added to the cast is brilliant actor and sketch comedian, Colleen Crabtree.

Crabtree, the real-life wife of Rothenberg, plays herself along with multiple characters from Rothenberg's past, ranging from gay men to a sexy vixen to Rothenberg's nagging mother.

A stand-up comedian since 1997, Dan Rothenberg’s quirky issues and infectious likeability have fueled his career leading to his recent performance on Comedy Central’s "Live at Gotham." Dan has appeared on numerous shows including NBC’s "Late Friday." He performs all over the world and has opened for Richard Lewis, Lewis Black, Robin Williams, George Lopez, and many more.

Colleen Crabtree recently completed filming "Opposite Day," in which she leads alongside Pauly Shore. In 2007, she starred in HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival winner "Closing Escrow," and also appeared on USA Network's "Monk." The Groundlings alum has been on the rise since she appeared as the harried mother of four in a Progressive Insurance commercial (“Who wants to be quiet?”).

Having received rave reviews, including LA Weekly's "Theater Pick of the Week," "Regretrosexual – The Love Story" was recently extended through April 12.

"…the actors (playing themselves) are so likable, attractive and funny that the evening is a joy. Crabtree is especially amusing as she caricatures Rothenberg's family and friends." - LA Weekly

"Rothenberg's standup abilities are evident when he talks directly to the audience, hitting punch lines hard and carefully dropping the more subtle jokes. But he's also able to bring depth to the heavier moments. Crabtree adds great dimension with her versatility … This unusual story remains fascinating and funny." – Backstage West

"Never before has a play been the consummate champion for both Gay lifestyle and personal honesty." – LA Splash
