Panjim, GOA: Anmax Energy Pvt. Ltd, a solar startup company from Goa, is fast lighting up the home solar space. With constant innovations, and a young team (average age is 25), Anmax is delivering quality rooftop solar systems to its customers at record-fast speed and the most affordable prices.
Founded in 2019 by Anant Kochhar, Anmax was initially just an experiment to see if apps and other information technology tools could solve home solar's many challenges. "Home solar installations are complex logistics problems which are very sensitive to price changes, and costs can shoot up with every mistake", informed Anant, Director of Anmax Energy Pvt. Ltd. "So planning and monitoring are key to making a project a success", added Anant.
With an innovative IT-led approach, Anmax reduced the end price for the customers dramatically and impressed the entire Goan solar ecosystem. "Our prices are sometimes so far below the nearest competitor, that we are tempted to hike them; but we will not", says Madhan, lead architect for Anmax. The reason for this is the 'environment-first' DNA of Anmax and the people who work in it.
Anmax is successfully harnessing the energy and the passion of Goan youth who want to contribute positively, and channelling it to the environment. "By keeping our prices pocket-friendly, we are also achieving our internal targets for carbon offsetting. We don't just measure our success by the total money we make as a company, but also how much we are weaning the world away from harmful fossil fuels", added Shreya, who heads the Anmax back-office team.
The company's daily operations are managed by highly efficient in-house software which allows precision project tracking. This project tracking is available to clients to monitor their project in real-time when they log into Anmax website https://anmax.in/. "We let our clients see the progress in real-time and invite them to give feedback. This way our processes improve with every project", said Tashina Singh, director of operations at Anmax.
"The company also has an innovative pricing approach and lets customers choose their home solar designs. In addition to the standard way in which customers call the company's back office to set up a site visit to get a solar design along with a quote," informed Tashina Singh, Director of Anmax Energy Pvt Ltd.
"Anmax also allows customers to sign directly on its website and custom-make their solar plant. Customers enter data, choose the rooftop solar design they want for their house, and lock the price by making an online booking payment. The company does not charge extra for some additional changes to the project," added Tashina.
"The company's back office takes pride in making government paperwork as seamless as possible for its customers. Aside from assuring government subsidies to all its customers under PM Suryaghar and State Solar policy, Anmax also facilitates additional government paperwork like name correction and sanctioned load increase.
"These are sometimes required for commissioning some home solar projects. Anmax has also tied up with a leading PSU bank to provide seamless 7% loans to all its customers with no income-proof requirement, and low 10-year repayment EMIs. These loan facilities are available from the company's website itself," informed Anant.
This year, Anmax is unveiling 'Solar Patra Roofs' offer for those thinking of installing Patra roofs for monsoon waterproofing.
"When Patra and solar are installed separately, they typically cost over Rs .5.2 Lakhs. For a limited time, Anmax is offering a combined 'Solar Patra Roof' at just Rs. 4.5 Lakhs final price, that too with a combined government subsidy of Rs. 1.86 Lakhs.
"This means you get both Patra and Solar at just Rs. 2.64 Lakhs. This combo offers ensures that your Patra roof will also be well maintained for many years along with the solar plant by Anmax," added Anant.
Anmax strives to be as customer-centric as possible. The company guarantees its work and offers extended service maintenance contracts. In rare instances, when a customer is not fully satisfied, the company works closely with them and spares no cost to resolve any issues.
With R&D in its DNA, the company also has many firsts to its name. Anmax commissioned Goa's first society common-area project and also prototyped India's first solar EV mini-truck. The solar truck runs nearly 150 kms a day on pure and clean solar energy and was showcased at India Energy Week 2024.

This Goan startup aims to take the Goan positive thinking culture and a uniquely innovative approach to solar to the rest of India soon.
