Lagos & United Kingdom - 25th February, 2024 - Klugekopf TechBridge, an innovative initiative dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology, is officially launching on March 7, 2025. March 7th holds a special significance, as it marks Betty Owhor's birthday. To commemorate this occasion, she has chosen this day as the official launch of the TechBridge program, viewing it as a meaningful way to give back to society. With a deep sense of purpose, she proudly carries the mandate that God has placed in her-to empower women and create pathways for their success in the tech industry.
Having spent years as the only woman-or the only African woman-leading projects in tech, Betty Owhor recognized the systemic barriers preventing women, particularly African women, from advancing in the industry. Through extensive research, she discovered that the primary obstacles include restricted access to opportunities and systemic biases, rather than a lack of talent or ambition. This realization led to the birth of Klugekopf TechBridge, a program designed to bridge this gap.
As a Christian, Betty believes in the power of purpose and service. She has been privileged to be a part of some of the most influential global projects, where she has gained insights and experiences that now fuel her mission to create pathways for other women in tech.
As part of its inaugural initiative, Klugekopf TechBridge will sponsor 20 outstanding women to pursue specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, Project Management, or Digital Marketing-three fields critical to the future of technology and business.
Join the Launch and First Webinar
To mark this milestone, Klugekopf TechBridge will host its first-ever webinar on March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women's Day. This event, taking place on Zoom, will feature industry leaders sharing insights and strategies on how women can break into and excel in tech.
Betty Owhor invites the global community to support this movement by spreading the word and encouraging women to register and participate.
