FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Indiana Photographer on Journey to Capture Photos of Every City and Town in Indiana: A Statewide Journey Through Cities, Landmarks, and Culture

St John, Indiana, February 25, 2025 - For nearly twenty years, Indiana photographer, video producer, and author Joey Lax-Salinas has embarked on a remarkable journey across the Hoosier State, capturing the essence of Indiana's cities and towns through a stunning collection of images. With a keen eye for history, culture, and everyday life, Lax-Salinas has photographed nearly 400 incorporated municipalities in Indiana, meticulously documenting the visual stories that make each city and town a place like no other. And he hasn't stopped there. Lax-Salinas has also been capturing photographs of all of the Chicago suburbs as well as cities in western and northern Michigan.

This extensive photography project not only showcases Indiana's urban and rural landscapes but also delves into themed galleries that celebrate the state's defining elements. Among the standout collections are:

Indiana Murals - A vibrant exploration of public art, from historic painted advertisements to contemporary street murals.
Indiana County Courthouses - A tribute to the architectural beauty and historical significance of courthouses in all 92 counties.
Indiana Ghost Signs - A collection of faded brick ads, known as ghost signs, of often long-gone brands.
Indiana Agriculture - A visual homage to the farms, fields, silos, and hardworking communities that sustain the state.
Indiana Highway Signs - A look at Indiana road markers, vintage signage, and roadside Americana.
Indiana Theater Marquees - A glimpse into the state's classic historic theater facades, preserving the magic of the big screen.

With this extensive collection, Lax-Salinas brings Indiana's past and present into focus, offering viewers a chance to appreciate the artistry, heritage, and everyday beauty found across the state. Lax-Salinas offers his photos for sale as photo prints in many formats as well as digital files for commercial use.

Lax-Salinas has spent more than two decades capturing photos throughout the Midwest, investing his own money to rent helicopters for aerial photos, carefully planning out each route based on flying efficiency and the position of the sun's shadows on the ground. He has been an official licensed photographer of Indiana University campus photos since 2018 and recently wrote and released his first book, a children's book, in September 2023 titled "Good Night, Indiana University", which is available at bookstores around Indiana as well as through Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Amazon, Walmart, and more. Recently, Lax-Salinas met with former Indiana governor Eric Holcomb to discuss his journey photographing Indiana.

Lax-Salinas's work is available for public viewing at www.JoeyLaxSalinas.com, where photography enthusiasts, historians, and proud Hoosiers can explore Indiana through an unparalleled visual journey. The Indiana collection can be viewed directly at www.IndianaPhotos.com.

Lax-Salinas also posts regularly on most all social media platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram.
