Spirit of Springburn Hosts FREE Health and Wellbeing Event at Springburn Shopping Centre

Spirit of Springburn SCIO is excited to announce its second Health and Wellbeing Event, taking place Tuesday, 18th Feb from 12pm to 3pm at Springburn Shopping Centre, 230 Springburn Way, in North Glasgow. This free-to-attend community event invites people of all ages to come together and focus on self-care, relaxation and wellbeing, which organisers hope will foster a stronger, healthier community by promoting both physical and mental wellbeing.

As well as local services, including GP Community Links Workers, guest speaker Kimberley Roan Mcveigh owner and CEO of Apricus Training Mental Health and First Aid, groups including; Versus Arthritis, Glasgow Life, Skills Development Scotland and Differabled will also be in attendance. Activities for adults and children, as well as motivational talks will also take place through the day.

Attendees will also be able to have 1-2-1 conversations with local organisations and community groups to discover resources available in the local area.

"Our event brings together local organizations and community members to foster a stronger, healthier community by promoting both physical and mental wellbeing. We believe that everyone deserves access to resources, support, and knowledge that can enhance their quality of life," says Event Coordinator Emma Newlands from Spirit of Springburn. She added: "Through interactive workshops, educational talks, and community engagement, we aim to create an inclusive space where people can discover local services, connect with others, and learn practical ways to prioritise their wellbeing."

Chair of Spirit of Springburn, Helen Carroll, said: "[We] know that focusing on our health and wellbeing is essential to a thriving community. This event brings together all the support services available in our area, while creating a welcoming space for learning, connection, and self-care, and we look forward to seeing people of all ages there."
