Born Wade Douglas in Brown's Hall, St. Catherine, Jamaica, Rasta Blacspade discovered his love for reggae at the young age of six. He balanced music with his education, attending Brown's Hall Primary School before moving on to Tacius Golding High School, where he earned a Business Diploma while simultaneously refining his musical skills.
Although he initially struggled to gain traction in Jamaica's competitive reggae scene, his break came when he moved to Kingston and was invited into the studios of reggae legends Luciano, Al Campbell, Steele, and Cleavee. Recognized for his versatility and unique sound, he quickly gained respect within the industry.
By 2012, Rasta Blacspade achieved international success with his hit single "Heart Nuh Leap," released on the Traveling Man Riddim. His momentum continued in 2023 when he released "Rasta Live", produced by Dub Chemist Muzik, which became a major hit in the Caribbean and on global reggae charts.
His song "Irawma" was specially released for the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) 40th Anniversary Show in Jamaica and earned him a top-three finalist position out of 1,000 participants-a remarkable achievement in the reggae industry.
Rasta Blacspade is now gearing up for international tours and is eager to bring his message of love and unity to audiences worldwide.
