Sculpture of the Frankfurt-Oder Cockerel by Paul Egan

Berlin/Frankfurt-Oder, 28.02.2008. The Berlin based artist and sculptor Paul Egan has been chosen to create a sculpture of the Frankfurt-Oder Cockerel, the city’s coat of arms. The sculpture will provide the basis for a project similar to the highly successful one now running in the German capital, known as the “Berlin Buddy Bear”. The project is being supervised by the “Investor Center Ostbrandenburg”, and has even now gained wide support from a large number of sponsors. The design has already received final approval and work on a smaller version of the planned 170cm sculpture is already completed. The middle of April is planned for the presentation of the completed work. Additional information can be found at the artists website www.kleinplastik.com and at the project homepage www.hahnsinnig.de
