A Romantic Evening With Composer Randy Edelman on Valentines Day @ First Parish, Milton MA.
The Music Heritage Series Presents "A Romantic Evening With Randy Edelman" at the First Parish, 535 Canton Ave., Milton Massachusetts on Friday February 14, 2025 @ 8:00 PM. Randy acclaimed for his romantic ballads including "A Weekend in New England" (covered by Barry Manilow), "Isn't It A Shame" (covered by Patti LaBelle and hip-hop superstar Nelly), "You" ( covered by The Carpenters) and more. The Composer will share the romance and the journey of his career thus far with his music and backstage both emotional and humorous tales.Randy will also treat the congregation to an in-depth medley of some of his TV and film scores as he is credited for creating over 100. Some of those soundscapes include the theme from the hit TV series MacGyver, and films scores including "My Cousin Vinny", "Ghostbusters ll", "Gettysburg", "While You Were Sleeping", " The Bruce Lee Story", "Kindergarten Cop", "27 Dresses", "Billy Madison", "Twins", and "Last of the Mohicans" (which earned him a Golden Globe nomination), just to name a few.
The First Parish serves the Unitarian Universalists featuring Reverend Lisa Ward and was founded in 1678. It serves the community as a concert venue showcasing their 1898 new Steinway Grand Piano, as well as an arc of love, faith and compassion. The concert series is presented by Jeffrey Stoodts, television host of Jeff Stoodt's "Great American Songbook." Edelman will also guest on the show as well.
Following a triumphant engagement in the prestigious Carnegie Hall last month and a full feature in Variety Magazine, Randy is now preparing to perform at Lincoln Center on June 6, 2025.
