Born on December 30, 2002, in Henrico, VA, and raised in Richmond before spending 15 years in Fort Worth, TX, K3addys has now returned to her roots in Richmond, ready to make her mark in the music industry.
A 2021 high school graduate, K3addys ranked in the top 30 of her class of 1,000 students, graduated with a 3.5 GPA and earned her Certified Medication Aide Certification. Despite initial hesitations from her family, her determination to pursue music has been steadfast, supported by her father and CEO of Redd Hott Beatz Inc, Kevin Lamont Redd, and her late cousin, Halei Brown, who passed away in January.
K3addys' upbringing was marked by moments of joy and profound challenges. Music became her refuge, and in 2021 she released her first song, "No Luv Story." Since then, her journey of growth and healing has been central to her evolving sound.
Her music, spanning genres like R&B, Pop, Trap, Hyper-Funk/Pop, and Afro, draws inspiration from artists such as Xxxtentacion, Bruno Mars, Adele, NF, and Sik World. Through deeply personal and emotive lyrics, K3addys creates songs that offer solace and escape for listeners, channelling her own struggles into relatable and cathartic melodies.
Coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, to her Christian mother was one of her most significant personal challenges, but K3addys remains resilient. She uses music not only to heal herself but also to inspire others navigating similar paths.
As she moves forward, K3addys plans to expand her artistic repertoire with collaborations, particularly with Korean artists, and to create more upbeat pop and club tracks. This journey of self-discovery and growth aligns with the upcoming release of her 10-song EP, 'K3 Da Ultimate,' set to debut on February 14, 2025. Balancing her aspirations of becoming an Ultrasound Technician with her music career, K3addys continues to chart her unique path, showcasing her evolving artistry and versatility.
