Pastor Organizes Antarctica Trip to Settle the Shape of the Earth Debate, Called "The Final Experiment"

On December 14th, 2024, a group of 9 people will travel to Antarctica to observe the behavior of the sun to settle the debate of the real shape of the Earth. Their objective is to confirm whether the sun is actually visible in the sky for 24 hours during the southern summer, as the globe earth model claims. This effort, termed "The Final Experiment," has been organized and largely funded by Will Duffy, a church pastor near Denver, CO. Four prominent flat earth believers (Jeran Campanella, Austin Whitsitt, Lisbeth Acosta and Jonathan Mariande) and four prominent globe earth believers (Michael Toon, Dave McKeegan, Mark Herman as Candace Owen's director and Critical Think from Australia) have been selected as participants to join Will Duffy for this trip.

In the flat earth model, commonly shown as the AE Map (azimuthal equidistant projection), it is impossible for the sun to be visible in the sky for 24 hours in Antarctica; this observation would falsify the AE Map. Because flat earthers have found deceptive editing in all existing footage showing the alleged 24-hour sun in Antarctica, they dispute that claim and believe the sun sets instead, which would disprove the globe earth model.

The participants are being flown to Antarctica by a company called Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions, which has set up a special campsite for this excursion at Union Glacier Camp, a 4.5 hour flight from Punta Arenas, Chile, located at 79°46′05″S 83°15′42″W. They will stay in Antarctica between December 14th-18th to conduct this observation for The Final Experiment.
