JMA Pilani reiterates that for National Unity all that matters is Just One Person

The history of India today would have been different had the London educated barrister Sardar Patel with a true heart of a Hindustani not been the Deputy Prime Minister when India became independent in 1947.

At the time of independence, Kashmir to Kanyakumari had many princely states and would have probably required for any traveler visas permits and tax payments to pass through but that was not the case due to Sardar Patel fondly referred as the Iron Man of India for uniting and integrating hundreds of princely states to one nation without shedding a drop of blood which is India today.

Sardar Patel indeed consolidated the country into one united whole in a unique manner. For his vision and mission carried out with passion, Sardar Patel is often referred as Chanakya of modern India. Starting from 2014, National Unity day aka Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year on 31st of October across India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On 31st of October, 2016, to reiterate the fact that for National Unity aka Rshtriya Ekta all that matters is Just One Person, Proud student of JMA Pilani, Master Kunal Sain stood with a beaming face holding the Tricolour and the pledge “I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country.”
