Major mergers in the agri marketplace: what’s the impact on global investment?
LONDON, 26 October 2016– Recent large-scale consolidations in the ag sector, such as Bayer AG’s $66bn deal with U.S.-based Monsanto Co., are changing the industry dynamics. How will this trickle down to affect the ag investing arena? Eli Ziskind of Credit Suisse will provide insight at the annual Global AgInvesting Europe conference to be held 5-7 December 2016 at the Landmark London.Ziskind, a key speaker from Credit Suisse Global Ag Productivity Investment Banking, will present his views on these recent impending mergers – such as Dow Chemical and DuPont, and Agrium and Potash – and their implications for the sector.
In his opening day presentation, Ziskind will address the mergers trend in light of the commodity cycle; which areas could be ripe to receive most of the sector investment attention in the near future; and how ag productivity, including distribution models, bundling and more focused R&D, could be impacted as a result of these consolidations.
