A True Heart for Valentine - Delivered in a clear plastic box courtesy of Displaysense

Press release from: Displaysense Ltd

/ PR Agency: Press Dispensary
Love is certainly not in the air for a 53 year old Dover man who is marking Valentine’s Day this year by sending his newly divorced ex-wife a cow’s heart presented in a clear Displaysense plastic box.

In a call to Displaysense shortly before Valentine’s Day, the gentleman asked whether one of the company’s acrylic boxes would be suitable for the raw butcher’s heart he planned to send his ex, claiming that, after bitter divorce proceedings, she might as well have taken his heart with everything else.

It was recommended that the container, an acrylic box normally used to display items for exhibitions and shops, should not be used in this way, but the man seemed set on carrying out his gory plan. Displaysense sells a wide variety of acrylic products and has done throughout its 30 year history, but never has a Perspex box been used in such a vein.

Steve Whittle, marketing manager at Displaysense, comments: “We have an expansive selection of acrylic products available and have had people using them for all sorts of things, but at this time of year you expect to see people filling them flowers and heart shaped chocolates, not animal hearts.”

Whittle continues: “Our customer claimed his ex-wife had been an absolute bitch throughout the divorce, so ideally he wanted to send her a dog’s heart, but couldn’t get hold of one out of fear of any repercussions from the likes of the RSPCA.”

The staff at Displaysense are now waiting with baited breath to see whether, when it came to the crunch, the customer’s heart was truly in it.
