Closer to the product: IICS changes its name to certgate GmbH

The new company carries the same name as its established product brand, certgate, underlining the company’s ambitions for growth

Nuremberg, 8th of February, 2008 – With the completion of the change in company name, certgate GmbH the Nuremberg based specialist for secure mobile data and communications unifies both the successfully established product and company names into one brand family. Under the management of Paschalis Papagrigoriou the company will represent a corporate image consistent with the focus of the organization. The change in name from IICS GmbH to certgate GmbH will become active with the registration at the local government commercial offices. The certgate GmbH has developed the world’s first microSD card with a built in fully functional cryptographic chip and flash memory integrated into one device. In order to achieve their ambitious goals certgate has appointed the security specialist Ronald Porcello to the position of Director of Marketing and Business Development.

With the start of the new year, the mobile data and communications security company is presenting itself under the name certgate GmbH. The new name comes as a logical next step in the development and focus bringing together a more consistent image of product and company. The change of name does not have an effect on customers or partners, following the organizations credo that the customer’s benefit has the highest priority. The new company will also employ the same General Manager Paschalis Papagrigoriou and maintain its headquarters in Nuremberg.
