2024 Shenzhen Global Marine Economy Forum and World Laureates Ocean Forum: A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration
Shenzhen, China - 2024 Shenzhen Global Marine Economy Forum and World Laureates Ocean Forum, hosted by the China Oceanic Development Foundation, the Global Ocean Capital Promotion Council of Shenzhen, and Shenzhen SEZ Construction and Development Group Co., Ltd., will take place in Shenzhen. This prestigious event is part of the broader 2024 China Marine Economy Expo, the only national-level marine economy exhibition in China.
The forum aims to showcase China's achievements in marine economic development while providing an essential platform for coastal countries to foster open cooperation and shared benefits. It will also facilitate the transformation and industrialization of new marine technologies, furthering international collaboration in the marine economy.
Over the course of the forum, ten plenary sessions will address a variety of pressing topics related to the construction of global marine center cities. Key discussion areas will include the future outlook of the global marine economy, marine ecological protection, global ocean governance, the network of global marine cities, carbon emission reduction, blue finance, marine business innovation, blue science, technological innovation in marine sectors, and marine equipment manufacturing.
Participating experts will collectively examine the trends in blue economy development, providing insights and recommendations to enhance international exchanges, promote marine scientific innovation, and drive high-quality growth in the marine economy.
The event has garnered special support from the World Laureates Association and notable support has also been received from local government bodies, including the Urban Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and the Ocean Development Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality.
As the forum unfolds over the next day and a half, it promises to serve as a catalyst for fostering innovative partnerships and advancing marine economic initiatives.
