Upya-Connect: Empowering the Agroecology Revolution

[Paris, 22/10/2024] - Aryam is proud to announce the launch of Upya-Connect, a collaborative open-source platform designed to champion the values and practices of agroecology through a blend of practical know-how, scientific research and educational resources.
 
As the agricultural world faces unprecedented sustainability challenges, Upya-connect aims at fostering cohesion amongst all the actors of the transition, empowering them with easy access to critical resources, knowledge and tools.
 
Towards knowledge cross-fertilization

We are committed to making agroecology a cornerstone of sustainable, climate-resilient yet productive agriculture. There is ample empirical and scientific evidence that agroecology provides a formidable toolkit of solutions to address soil degradation water stress and biodiversity loss. Embracing such solutions on the ground requires however to overcome several challenges, among which building capacities and developing practical know-how. 
By providing farmers and stakeholders with easy access to practical, globally sourced solutions, we remove some of the barriers to implementation and ensure they have access to the latest research, experimentation and success stories.
Our platform is not just about displaying knowledge-it is also about breaking silos, cross-fertilizing know-how from all over the world and fostering a global community of practices especially among regions particularly vulnerable to climate change.

We invite all stakeholders-farmers, researchers, policymakers, and organizations-to join our platform, as a user, a contributor or a promoter. By bringing together multiple knowledge along the ethos of open source, we can make a significant impact on food security, climate resilience, and social equity across the globe.
