WHAT: The Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative | WHERE: http://www.expii.com/ramanujan

Tuesday, October 04, 2016 (Pittsburgh, PA) The Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative is searching for mathematical talent from all over the world. Give your students the opportunity to experience the transformative educational opportunities offered by the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

Help your students find funding for their education by solving creative math puzzles and qualify for educational grants from The Templeton World Charity Foundation. www.expii.com/ramanujan

The Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative was inspired by Srinivasa Ramanujan, a mathematical genius who overcame impossible odds to change the future of mathematics. In conjunction with major motion picture, The Man Who Knew Infinity, the Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative seeks to discover mathematical talent from around the world and connect participants with transformative educational opportunities through grants supported by the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

Up to 20 eligible individuals will be awarded Templeton-Ramanujan Scholarly Development Prizes for furthering their educational pursuits. Sponsored by the Templeton World Charity Foundation, they will engage with professional mathematicians as participants in the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Atlanta, USA, from January 4-7, 2017.

Up to 10 participants will be offered financial support to attend and participate in approved summer research in mathematics. They will receive a Templeton-Ramanujan Summer Fellows Prize to cover summer program expenses.

Starting on November 1, eligible participants will be invited to apply to the next round of the search via the American Mathematical Society’s MathPrograms.org. Everyone will have the opportunity to continue to raise their scores on Expii Solve until the December 1st deadline.

We know you’re busy, but The Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative is an exciting opportunity for your students. Download handouts for your class at expii.com/ramanujan.
