Released on September 20, 2024, "Nizanim" blends poetic lyrics with a unique musical composition produced by Haval and Joe Haco. This single marks the beginning of the journey for the much-anticipated album.

"Nizanim," which translates to "I don't know" in Kurdish, is the first of six songs featured on the album "Lîlav." The lyrics for this deeply emotional track were penned by Tara Mamedova, while the composition and music were created by Haval and Joe Haco. The album speaks to universal themes of loss, grief, and hope. The first three songs, including "Nizanim," have been released as singles, with the remaining tracks set to be unveiled together later this year.

Why "Lîlav"?
The title of the album, "Lîlav," translates to "meltwater" in Kurdish. Tara Mamedova explains the inspiration behind the title: "Just as meltwater flows from the snow, merging with waterfalls and eventually joining great bodies of water, our feelings turned into words, those words became verses, and the verses evolved into songs. 'Lîlav' symbolizes the journey of music that touches people's hearts, bringing life wherever it flows, much like meltwater nurtures nature."

How the Album Came to Life:
The collaboration between Vellúa and Tara Mamedova began when Haval Haco reached out to Tara, saying, "Tara, I truly connect with the spirit and emotions in your voice. I feel there's a special artistic synergy we can create together. I wonder what would happen if we joined forces to experiment musically. How about embarking on such a journey?"
Haval sent Tara some initial compositions he had been working on, and after listening to them for days, Tara added her own touch to one of the tracks. She wrote lyrics for the composition that resonated with her the most, resulting in the creation of "Nizanim." This project, which initially started with three songs, grew into a full album over the course of two years. Despite various challenges, the album, consisting of six pieces, was carefully crafted and finalized through numerous revisions. The music was composed by Joe Haco and Haval Haco, while the lyrics were written by Tara Mamedova, Bedia Haco, Osman Hemo, and Sileman Temo. The album is filled with emotions and stories reflecting the human experience.

The Story Behind "Nizanim":
"We all have someone who leaves us," explains Mamedova. "There are unknown departures that leave a void nothing else can fill-loved ones lost in wars, earthquakes, and massacres, or those who suddenly leave us in life's everyday moments. Some departures leave deep scars. The inspiration for 'Nizanim' came from a close friend who, during the recent earthquake, tearfully told me, 'I can neither go nor stay.' That's where this song was born."
