ADE Werk GmbH moves into new company headquarters in Hohberg

In the year of its 75th anniversary, ADE Werk GmbH is opening a new chapter, creating space for innovation and expansion. In October 2024, the specialist for electric lifting cylinders will relocate its production to the new site in Hohberg-Niederschopfheim. With around 50 percent more production space, ADE is creating the conditions for further growth and the development of new markets.

The year 2024 will go down as a very special milestone in the history of ADE Werk GmbH. The renowned manufacturer of electric lifting cylinders celebrated its 75th anniversary in August and will complete the relocation of operations to the new site in Hohberg-Niederschopfheim on October 1, 2024.

"We previously had the difficult situation that our individual production stations were spread across a total of twelve halls, which inevitably led to a suboptimal material flow. Unfortunately, we were unable to rebuild the previous site in such a way that the material logistics and our production processes could be optimally organized, which is why we decided to relocate."

An efficient process organization and optimized logistics are essential for an internationally operating company like ADE today, especially as the expansion is to be driven forward. "In addition to our core markets, we want to open up new segments in which we have not yet been represented with our electric lifting cylinders," says Schaufuß, describing his plans for the future. Product innovations are also to be developed to market maturity in the next three to five years and sold worldwide, according to the company owner.

The new site has 400 square meters of office space and 2,200 square meters of warehouse and production space. This provides sufficient space for future challenges.

ADE's electric lifting cylinders are used in lock and weir systems to move gates weighing several tons and are characterized by their environmentally friendly and low-maintenance design. To date, more than 2,000 of these drives have been supplied and are in use in over 500 installations worldwide.

Rationalization and automation have led to a sharp increase in demand for reliable and low-maintenance drives for linear technology in recent years. The ADE electric lifting cylinders, which are designed according to the spindle principle, offer technically and economically advantageous solutions for this and are therefore used in conveyor technology, medical technology, sewage treatment technology, the food and automotive industries, robotics and the aviation industry.
