David earned a BA in Political Science and Russian Studies from the University of North Texas in 1993, and later completed a master's degree in National Security from the National Intelligence University. After retiring in March 2022, he returned to Texas, where he lives with his wife. Additionally, David is the President and Founder of Positive Patriotism LLC, an organization dedicated to promoting awareness of American military history, culture, and leadership, while advocating for greater civic responsibility.
