Helping Nonprofits in Tampa Bay Since 2018 at the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center
Clearwater, FL - There are over 16,000 nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area. Tampa Bay ranks second next to Miami in number of charity organizations in the state of Florida. But how many of these charitable groups are actually accomplishing their goals?A 2023 report from the Florida Nonprofit Alliance states that 50% of nonprofits in the state are experiencing increased costs for regular, recurring expenses from years prior. Further, 62% say they need more funding to accomplish their missions.
The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center is answering the call for help from nonprofits by offering special services, such as event planning, community outreach opportunities and one-on-one organizational support.
The Center, established by the Church of Scientology in March 2018, has hosted hundreds of events including workshops, fundraisers, seminars and meetings for local nonprofit organizations at no cost, all in the name of building a stronger nonprofit community. The Center invites nonprofits to make use of its conference room for meetings, multipurpose room for seminars and gathering space for informal networking sessions. From cultural groups to veteran support and youth organizations to animal shelters, the Center fits an abundance of needs.
"The CCV Center offers a place for nonprofits to forward their mission through use of the facilities and personal projects," said Tracy Hawkins, manager of the Center. "This is in alignment with the CCV Center's purpose to bolster the growth of local volunteer groups, who themselves are working to make a better society. As Humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard said, 'A community that pulls together can make a better society for all.'"
If you are interested in learning more about the CCV Center or would like to book your nonprofit activities in the Center, please contact Tracy Hawkins at 727-316-5309 or ccvcenter@ccvfl.org.
