18th Annual IWFFA-Ptown Classic Women Flag Football Tournament September 6 - 9, 2024
Provincetown, MA - August 20, 2024 - The International Women's Flag Football Association (IWFFA) is thrilled to announce the 18th Annual IWFFA-Ptown Classic Women's Flag Football Tournament, taking place from September 6 to September 9, 2024. This year's tournament promises to be the most exciting yet, with six to eight teams and approximately 150 to 200 women from across the globe descending upon Provincetown for a weekend of intense competition and camaraderie.New This Year: Tournament Parade!
For the first time, the tournament will kick off with a vibrant parade on Friday evening, September 6, starting at 6 PM. Starting at Pearl Street, the parade will march down Commercial Street, ending at Franklin, and will showcase the diverse and spirited teams.
Teams & players come from: El Salvador, Canada , Arizona, Rhode Island, New York, Florida and one player from South Sudan. All invited to join the parade with team banners / national flags. Teams are encouraged to ride bicycles supplied by the: Bike Shack, or march in team uniform or costumes, embracing the parade's theme: "Women's Flag Football Parade for PEACE."
International Teams and Special Features
This year, we are proud to welcome teams from Canada, El Salvador, and the USA, bringing an international flair to the competition. Additionally, the "Underground Loose Women" team, a team formed for individual players, will make its debut. Local women & tourists who wish to participate are welcome to sign up and join in the fun by contacting Coach Diane.. All registered teams receive free bike rental from the Bike Shack. Tournament Registration Party held at the Harbor Lounge on Friday at 7:30p.m. will feature dykes who played ball in the 50's who share their experience as female athletes during that era and special guest: Suzana Abdelbage from South Sudan, Africa will speak on the conditions for women in her country.
Saturday night party is at the Underground and Awards party TBA. During the tournament long weekend, will be arm wrestling contests, half time game contests on the field in between games for furthest throw, longest kick, etc. and adult prizes to the winners supplied by Toys of Eros. Somerset House is the main sponsor of this year's event and the IWFFA recognizes & welcomes transgender women to compete.

* Parade: Friday - 6 PM @ Commercial Street & Pearl (ends at Franklin) Join the Parade!
* Registration Party: Friday - 7:30PM @ Harbor Lounge - 359 Commercial
* Games: Saturday & Sunday at Motta Field - starting at 9 AM
* Saturday Night Party: 9PM @ The Underground - 293 Commercial
* Sunday Awards: TBA- Immediately after Championship Game
* Monday: Bike Tour Dunes - Whale Watch - Tournament Dinner6 PM @ Fanizzi's 539 Commercial
