The RAF on Preparing ISR Operators for Current and Future

Effective training is vital for a robust and versatile ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) capability. When developing the practices and technologies required for information superiority, leading military nations apply different techniques to train their Air Forces. Explore some of these cutting edge ideas at this year’s highly anticipated Airborne ISR conference, taking place in Central London on the 26th and 27th October 2016.

Presentation on air ISR training by the RAF: Preparing ISR Operators for Current and Future Operations: An Overview of Training Doctrine and Procedure within the RAF. Covering:

• Current perception of the operational environment and how this translates to training requirements

• An overview of the QWI course and its adaptation to meet these challenges

• Training methods utilised

Will be presented by Squadron Leader Andy Bain, Officer Commanding QWI and Sentinel Training, 54R Squadron of the RAF and Squadron Leader Steve Knight, Officer Commanding Rivet Joint and SHADOW Training, 54R Squadron of the RAF.

The 2-day defence event will also include 19+ sessions of military and industry, expert led presentations and panel discussions, delivering market leading insight and innovative strategies on the full range of: direction, collection, process & dissemination.
