Airex Rubber Products Corporation Awarded Grant by Governor of Connecticut and State's Manufacturing Innovation Fund
Airex Rubber Products Corporation, a leading expert in precision design and manufacturing of rubber molded products and custom rubber masking, based in Portland, Connecticut, has been awarded a $100,000 grant by the state of Connecticut and its Manufacturing Innovation Fund. Governor Ned Lamont presented the grant at Airex Rubber Site, which recognizes Airex along with five other companies for their advancements in additive technologies.
This grant is part of the Additive Manufacturing Adoption Program (AMAP), an initiative launched by the Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Fund Advisory Board and the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT). The funds will be used to support the adoption of additive technologies that enhance operations and drive innovation. This includes high-end 3D metal printers for functional parts and tooling, as well as advanced printing capabilities.
An Airex spokesperson expressed gratitude, stating, "We are thankful for the State of Connecticut's recognition and are dedicated to advancing additive manufacturing technology. This grant is a significant boost for our business. The new 3D printer will expedite our production processes, significantly reduce lead times for new tooling, enhance turnaround times through rapid prototyping, and improve our competitiveness."
